K9s For Warriors fights veteran suicide by providing trained service dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD and other traumas. Tractor Supply is sponsoring two dogs who are currently in training to assist military heroes. Charlie, a Golden Retriever, is named after Tractor Supply’s founder, Charles E. Schmidt. J.R. (“Just Right”), is sponsored by Petsense by Tractor Supply and is a Black Labrador Retriever. Charlie and J.R. are spending roughly eight months training at the organization’s National Headquarters in Ponte Vedra, Florida. When they are ready, they will each be paired with a warrior who has also undergone several weeks of training, ensuring the two are a successful and enduring match.
