Tractor Supply Surpasses $1 Million to Expand Hands-on Learning for Future Agriculture Leaders

March 24, 2026

Annual Grants for Growing fundraiser helps FFA chapters nationwide access tools, facilities and real-world experiences that prepare students for in-demand careers

Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO), the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States (the “Company”), announced today that its 11th annual Grants for Growing fundraiser raised more than $1 million. During the four-week event, Tractor Supply customers supported the effort by purchasing paper FFA emblems at checkout, which will in turn provide thousands of FFA members across the country with the resources to engage in hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for careers in agriculture and skilled trades.

Tractor Supply and FFA celebrated 40 years of partnership at the 98th Annual National FFA Convention and Expo where Tractor Supply was awarded the Distinguished Service Citation.

“Each year, our customers help turn small acts at checkout into meaningful opportunities for FFA members across the country,” said Joe Fell, Tractor Supply Vice President – Merchandise Presentation, Promotions and Events and a member of the FFA Sponsor Board. “Grants for Growing brings hands-on learning to life—giving students access to the tools, skills and experiences that shape their future and strengthen the communities we call home.”

Since 2016, Tractor Supply customer donations have supported grant requests including greenhouse construction, beekeeping materials, farm equipment, embroidery machines, curriculum improvement and beyond. FFA chapters can apply for a grant of up to $5,000 until May 15 by submitting details of a project that fits into one of three focus areas: Grow Your Classroom, Grow Your FFA Chapter or Grow Your Ag Awareness.

Grants in Action

In 2025, Grants for Growing funds enabled Haymon Morris Middle School FFA members in Winder, Georgia, to access materials and equipment to construct simple electrical circuits and woodworking projects as part of the Exploratory Agriculture program.

“I never really thought agriculture was such a hands-on class. I enjoyed getting my hands dirty with woodworking and electricity. It makes me want to look more into agricultural mechanics and take that class in high school," said Kaori, an eighth grader at Haymon Morris.

"This has by far been one of my favorite projects. I get to not only learn about this, but I actually get to do it,” added classmate, Beau.

Milford FFA members in Milford, Texas, shared similar feedback after using new electrical equipment purchased with grant funding.

“Students who have zero experience with electricity are finally seeing what a circuit is,” said Stephanie Thoms, Milford Ag teacher and FFA Advisor. “They are getting to experience the success of solving electrical problems and also making the connection in real-time as to why a system isn’t working and what they can do to fix the problem.”

These experiences provide exposure to new fields that can, in turn, lead students to pursue in-demand career opportunities. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that overall employment in construction and extraction occupations, which include electricians, carpenters and metalworkers, is projected to grow faster than the average for all occupations from 2024 to 2034.

An Enduring Partnership

Tractor Supply has been a proud partner of FFA since 1985, donating nearly $24 million through various initiatives to support FFA’s work preparing members for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture. Tractor Supply also supports FFA members through the FFA Future Leaders Scholarship program. Established in 2022, Tractor Supply committed $5 million over five years, making it the largest agriculture scholarship fund of its kind. Through the fund, nearly 300 students have been awarded scholarships to support their ongoing education at four-year universities, two-year colleges or vocational and trade schools.

FFA is a dynamic youth organization that prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The organization develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success.
